Centre Ice on Twitter….Yikes.

I don’t really know what Twitter is, society says that I should, but I don’t. In an effort to get more people to read the blog, I made one. Not sure if it will help. To be honest, I don’t care.

The Men’s team already has a Twitter page, and have been “tweeting” for quite some time….I feel dirty.

barnabyApparently everyone twitters, even Matthew Barnaby, he’s a former Penguin and a badass on ESPN…again, I feel dirty. It doesn’t upset me that Barnaby is tweeting, if I cared, I’d love to know what color socks he puts on in the morning, or if he puts his pants on the same way I do…one leg at a time…pretty sure that he does, but if I followed his twitter page, I would probably know for sure.

Stage Right, Barnaby —>

Former Colonial Goaltender Christian Boucher has left his CHL team to sign a contract with Romjinders Dar Devils Nijmegen of the Dutch Eredivisie League in Europe.  Christian is currently listed as the team’s only goaltender, wearing the #53 sweater.  Christian joins 5 other players of North American flavor, so at least he will have someone who can help teach him the lingo.

It’s no doubt that Christian had a stellar year with the Killer Bee’s, but as the following article points out, it was always a dream of Christian’s to play in Europe, congrats to Christian for making it come true.

This announcement by the Western Collegiate Hockey Association is the realization of a decade-long dream for Bemidji State University,” Bemidji State President Dr. Jon E. Quistgaard.

With the construction of the Bemidji Regional Events Center, the University was able to make a claim from the start that their efforts in the last 10 years to join the WCHA, was the eventual goal in bringing a more state-of-the-art hockey center for the Bemidji area, as well as the BSU Beavers.
